Baja Fishing Report – March 8

It's Going To Be A Great Season

Report the week of March 8th.

Spring conditions are here. Over the last few weeks, the yellowtail bite has been consistent around the lighthouse and Ceralvo island. Marlin are in the mix as well around 3-5 miles out so If you spend the time, the chance of hooking up is promising.

As a whole, it looks like it will be a great spring. Water temps are just above 70, which is the coldest water we have had for the past few years, but there is bait around, and the sardines are showing up in growing numbers. The wind has been an issue on the pacific side, but there have been some great days when it dropped, but the fishing was slow. In Cabo, we had some great action in the boat with mid-sized jacks and a few small roosters.

Overall, everything we are seeing is showing that we are going to have an incredible spring-summer season. We have availability on the calendar for the season, so please give us a call or email for info if anyone has any questions. Its been a long year for everyone with COVID and we are excited to see that Southern Baja has moved to the yellow level. Rapid testing is available at the airport, making it easy for the US requirements when flying back.

Tight lines,

Jeff
