Hello everyone,
The North wind returned early this week just as most of the people that were here for the Easter weekend headed home. The wind has been blowing the last few days keeping most anglers around the swim up bar at their hotels. The wind is forecast to blow for the next couple of days and then back off and we should get back to flat calm seas and great weather.
On the calm days we have seen some very good fishing. We continue to see good fishing for rooster fish along the beaches and along the shore. We also have some very nice fishing for snapper and cabrilla in the rocks. The hot spot for these fish has been just in front of Rancho Leonero. We continue to see fair dorado fishing on the days that we find them. They have been moving around quite a bit and a little harder to find than they were a couple of weeks ago. The school before the wind was located in front of La Ribera out about seven to ten miles. We continue to see more stripe marlin in the area but as I reported last time very few of them are taking the offerings presented by anglers.
I will be out on the water as soon as the wind allows us to fish and I will be reporting the fishing conditions. Until then tight lines.
