This last week in East Cape, Baja has been a wet one, with lots of thunderstorms, but the fishing has remained good despite all the rain. The recent storms have led to a fair amount of floating debris, which is in turn providing good floating structure for dorado. Over the last week, we have seen good numbers of dorado, with anglers catching as many as they want most days, especially around the lighthouse area.

Sailfish are still around, and the striped marlin bite should be approaching soon as the water temps continue to cool.

Magdalena Bay is seeing some good numbers of wahoo at the moment, and because Mag Bay has a healthy amount of bait fish throughout the fall and winter season, it’s a smorgasbord for the game fish that inhabit the area during that time of the year. We are looking forward to a very productive fall and winter season.

We do still have some openings for Mag Bay, so please contact us to lock in your dates.

Tight lines,
