Hi Everyone,
Last week I had the pleasure to have Enrico Puglasi fish with me. Over the days we fished together we tested some amazing new fly patterns and created some new ones as well. A cold front came through and really effected the beach fishing. We fished the beaches for several days and had several roosterfish turn on the fly, but no luck at sticking any.
Since the beach was not working we focused our attention offshore. We found plenty of sailfish, marlin and found tuna for several days. Most of the tuna are football sized, but there are some fish up 50 lbs. in the schools.
Tropical storm Erik came through early this week and it will affect the beach fishing, but we should see it turn around quickly and be back looking for roosterfish shortly. Over the last few weeks we have been doing a bunch of scouting for roosterfish. Once the storm passes we will have an update on if they are still around.
