Fall fly fishing is in full swing

Hi everyone,

The fall fly fishing is in full swing all around the peninsula. The fly fishing has been very good here in the East Cape for dorado as well as tuna and marlin. I spent a couple days last week with guests and we had excellent fly fishing action for some big skip jack as well as dorado. There is plenty of bait in the area. Each day we chummed sardines for the skip jack we also had good schools of dorado that would come into the bait as well.

Along with the dorado in the area we are seeing good action for tuna. Most of the tuna action in the East Cape has been about twenty miles out. The tuna have been good size averaging thirty pounds.

we currently have lots of billfish in the area as well. We continue to see stripe marlin, Blue marlin, and sailfish in the area.

We are headed over this week to our fall operation located in Magdalena Bay. We will be there until after the first of the year. Magdalena Bay is currently fishing extremely well for stripe marlin as well as tuna and wahoo on the banks located offshore in the pacific. If your looking for inshore fishing the mangroves have been excellent lately for grouper, snapper, corvina and snook with a few golden Travale mixed in.

We are still taking reservations for both our destinations so please contact us for information. We will be sure to keep you updated here as to the latest conditions in the area. Until next time we wish everyone great fishing.
