Hi Everyone,
This week in East Cape Baja the fishing was really good. We did experience some wind on Thursday and Friday though, but conditions were still fishable and we had some great days on the water. Saturday was our first calm day with no wind and we fished to big schools of skipjack and had a blast.
The dorado and marlin bite is scattered after the winds came through, however, there are still some nice marlin around.
Fishing off the beach has been good for jacks and roosterfish but it can get crowded though. If you cruise around on a ATV you can find some isolated areas.
As for the sardines, they are still a long boat ride out to get them, so we have not really focused on the inshore fishery.
We are filming with Animal Planet’s show called ” Off The Hook” on Thursday and it should be a fun day. Overall, the weather has been great and the fishing has been good. If you are thinking of taking trip to Baja this summer give us a shout and we will be happy to answer any questions.
