This past week we have seen excellent action for multiple species. Over the past few weeks the fly fishing for rooster fish has been quite good. This past week the action for them slowed down a little. We still are having good action but it is not quite as hot as it was a couple of weeks ago. We continue to see good action for medium sized rooster fish off the boat. Along the beach we are starting to see a few more fish prowling the beaches in search of mullet that are just starting to arrive. As we see more bait congregating along the beaches the fishing from the beach should pick up.

The marlin have arrived. The action for them has been very good with steady action for everyone looking for them. They are just to our South and have been sliding gradually North. All the anglers targeting them on both fly and conventional have been rewarded with multiple hook ups daily.

The other big news this week is that the yellowfin tuna have arrived. Currently they are out about thirty miles. They are under the porpoise schools. The tuna have ranged from footballs to seventy pounds with the average fish being caught around twenty pounds.

The dorado that have been here all spring continue to provide anglers with good action. There have been dorado not only in the deep waters but we have had many cruising the shore line looking for small ballyhoo and flying fish that we currently have inshore. There have been quite a few dorado caught off the beach this past week. That’s the beauty of fishing you just never know what to expect.

We currently are experiencing some very good action for African Pomano as well. These fish have been between forty and sixty feet of water. We have been catching them on fly as well as on light tackle. They have provided some great action this past week.

The weather is starting to get hot. The fishing is already there. We will be on the water daily. Be sure to check back here and see what we encounter. Until next time we wish everyone great fishing.
