I would like to let everyone know that everything is ok here in Baja after hurricane Henriette passed over us on Tuesday 9/4/07. Henriette was a class one hurricane that passed over us at around two o’clock in the after noon bringing us torrential rains along with wind of around eighty five miles per hour with higher gusts. The eye of the hurricane passed between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. It’s track then brought it near us and up toward La Paz.
As far as damage in our area it was minimal. We still have a good amount of water running in some of the arroyo’s and the power was back up and running yesterday. We saw slight wind damage around town but nothing that can’t be fixed. As far as the fishing most of the hotels are putting their boats back in the water today and will resume fishing tomorrow. I will be fishing with my guests that arrive on Sunday and I am looking forward to getting back on the water.
